WINTER HAND PUMP: See How Well Pump Resists Freezing

For people who live in the country, getting water usually involves electricity, a pump, tank and a bunch of fittings. Lose electricity and there goes your water, too. This pump lives alongside our regular submersible electric pump within the same well, but it’s completely separate. If anything happens to our regular, electric-powered water system, the hand pump provides an electricity-free back up. And it even works without freezing in our cold Canadian winters as you can see.
