What are my options for a finishing nailer without a compressor?

I want to buy a power nailer tool to drive small finishing nails, but don’t want to get a compressor. What are my options for this type of power tool?

Power nailers of all kinds are becoming more common because they’re fast, accurate and fun to use. Paslode invented the first air-driven models in the 1950’s, and they currently make several combustion-fueled nailers that don’t require a compressor. Porter Cable also makes a new battery-powered nailer with a small, on-board compressor. There’s one more option, too. You’ll find an electric nailer from Arrow Fastener called the ET 125. It drives finishing nails from 5/8-inch to 1 1/4-inch long, powered via a plug-in cord.
