Almost 20 years ago a friend of mine told me about a kind of outdoor wood finish you only ever had to apply once. I’d never  heard of it before and it sounded too good to be true, so I figured I should learn more. The product came as a powder that you mixed with water, then sprayed onto bare wood to make it darker, more beautiful and longer lasting. This stuff was supposed to be completely non-toxic, too.

Long story short, I tried the product on my own projects and I find it works really well. The version I use today is called Ecowood Treatment and you can see it in action on a project I worked on back in 2009.
