Any kind of general-purpose carbide-tooth blade will easily cut through the kind of sheet material you’re using. More often than not, binding problems happen if the saw power tool isn’t guided straight during a cut. Watch the blade as it first enters the wood and keep it on your pencil mark for the first few inches. A good start goes a long way to keeping the cut going well to rest of the way. My favourite circular saw blades are specially rated to chew through the occasional nail without a problem. This won’t be an issue with the sheet materials you’re working with right now, but you never know when you’ll need to cut through reclaimed wood that may have old nails in it.
