Overjoyed with Overlays

I’m shopping for windows to go into a small forest cabin project I’m working on, and I’ve discovered something that makes windows look much better. It’s a kind of laminate overlay wrap that’s factory-applied to vinyl and other synthetic window materials to make them look better. Instead of plain, white vinyl, surprisingly authentic wood grain patterns are available. You can also get overlays in plain colours that are much more durable than paint. The best overlays I’ve tested so far don’t show scratches when you drag the tip of a key over them. Very tough stuff, and definitely worth asking about if you’re looking at windows.
